February: 3 new middle school teams launch; MICR promotes Alumni artwork; Erron Hubbard {alum} leads Memphis Tigers to UAB 7s Title; Calvin Gentry {alum} makes pro rugby debut; first HS match of ‘22; alums staff MICR tournament at Vance; MICR co-founder interview on WYXR; MICR is hiring!

March: MICR hosts inaugural Urban Rugby Championship; Girls all stars spend spring break competing and learning at Life University; 3 MICR Coaches earn referee certifications; celebrating international women's day; all stars preparing for NashBash; Akilah Cathey & Jakiyah Griffin {alums} compete against each other in college matchup- Brown vs AIC; High schoolers visit middle school practice to help out; MICR’s inaugural golf tournament announced. 

April: Ladarius Holt & Erron Hubbard {alums} lead Memphis Tigers to conference title; middle school competition at Vance; Dr. Reginald Boyce joins MICR Board; HS day trip to Lindenwood University; 48 teammates compete in NashBash and go 3-1 overall; Girls & Boys Senior nights.

May: Alumni impact survey results released; Andrea Wensits (co-executive director) wins Teach for America’s Alumni Award; Elliot Batts {alum} signs rugby scholarship to CBU; Marriah Willis {alum} signs rugby scholarship to Lindenwood University; 5 MICR seniors sign commitment letters to Memphis Tigers Rugby; Alums learn new skills with Memphis Boating Center; First Golf Outing Successful; Urban Rugby Championship Trailer released; new uniforms form BMA; 3 MICR Legends compete in college 7s national championships; 10th Anniversary save the date.

June: sneak peak of new MICR branding; MLR Team from Atlanta visits MICR summer programming; Summer alumni team competes in nashville; Summer growth and development; MICR Boys compete in Birmingham; MICR adds unprecedented capacity by adding Savannah Austin and Mariah Kalapu as full-time pathway coaches; MICR on PeacePlayers podcast; MICR coaches reflect on 50th anniversary of Title IX; Shaniah Jones, Akilah Cathey, and Erica Cathey {alums} win U23 National Title in Chicago; URC Short Film released; 10th anniversary tickets go on sale.

July: 10th anniversary sponsors announced; Summer alumni team competes in Elvis 7s; 12 MICR alums on Memphis Tigers to start summer training; New ‘Rugby Class’ begins at Soulsville Charter; First coach training session of the season; 

August: 2nd Annual Urban Rugby Championships announced for Los Angeles in ‘23; Last chance for 10th anniversary early bird tickets.

September: Games begin for school year; Article published about MICR by World Rugby; Girls middle school programming launches at 5 schools;  first collegiate start for Marriah Willis {alum}; Jay Uiberall Senior Pathway series begins; Super Bowl Champion David Diehl promotes MICR’s 10th Anniversary.

October: Former MICR coaches visiting MICR legends; 10th Anniversary reflections video; National Coaches Day; Jay Uiberall Series Hike & Yoga; Faith Walker {alum} speaks on star-studded panel; MICR Rebrand and 10th anniversary highlights 

November: 2022 Impact Report released; Middle School tackle rugby highlights; 2022 MICR bowl; Savannah Austin (pathway Coach) wins national award; 55 MICR teammates compete in state championship; 14 coaches earn USA Rugby certification; 3rd Jay Uiberall Senior Pathways Workshop; MICR’s Founding Story; Slingshot assessment highlights.
